It seems we Aussies really like to cruise! For the second consecutive year, growth of the Australian cruise passenger market has surpassed other major cruise markets. A new report has confirmed that Australia’s cruise industry growth continues to lead the world, with passenger numbers surging 11 per cent last year to hit a record high of 694,062.

The things we all like to complain about. |

When asked to share their biggest complaints about air travel, lack of seat comfort and other passengers top the list - surprise surprise! According to Tripadvisor’s inaugural air travel survey, one in three Australians feel that air travel has not improved at all compared to five years ago.
It doesn’t stop us from flying however, with at least 31 per cent of respondents planning on flying more this year than last year, and as many as 51 per cent at least flying as often as they did last year.
So what don’t we like about flying? When asked to share their biggest complaints about air travel, lack of seat comfort and other passengers top the list, with the Top 5 complaints being:
- Uncomfortable seats or limited legroom
- Other passengers (e.g. loud children)
- Costly airline fees and ticket prices
- Unpredictable flight delays
- Multiple airport security measures
